RICOH IMAGING UK has today announced a new model of the RICOH THETA – the RICOH THETA m15.
The THETA m15 is a spherical camera that shoots 360-degree photos, you can view in any direction. The fish-eye lenses on each side of the compact body capture images of just over 180 degrees, which are stitched together inside the camera body. Take a look at some example images here.Weighing just 95g, the small, lightweight body has been designed with portability in mind, but offers up to 3 minute long video capture.
The shutter is operated with one press of a button, and image orientation is adjusted automatically so you don’t have to worry which way up you’re holding the camera. A smartphone can be used to shoot images from a remote location, without needing to hold the camera in your hand.
New connectivity upgrades mean this new model enables Wi-Fi transfer at a rate almost twice as fast as its predecessor, while still retaining the same small, lightweight and easy-to-carry design as before.
Available in blue, pink, white and yellow, the RICOH THETA will be available from 14 November 2014 for a RRP of £270 (approx $435). Visit here for more information.
